1. The Sister Date We’d Been Putting Off
I’d been asking Dulie to try this new viral restaurant with me for what felt like forever. Every time we scrolled through TikTok, someone else was raving about it—sparkling drinks, creamy pasta, cute desserts that looked almost too adorable to eat. Today we finally made it happen. The moment we walked in, the place felt warm and buzzy, with hanging plants and soft lights that made everything look like it belonged in a “girls’ day out” montage. Dulie nudged me and whispered that it already felt like one of our classic sister moments. She was right. Even before we ordered, I knew today would be one of those memories that sticks.
2. When the Drinks Set the Tone
We started with these bright, sparkling citrus drinks topped with tiny edible flowers. They tasted like sunshine in a glass—light, refreshing, and almost too pretty to ruin by actually drinking. I joked that if this feeling were a charm, it would be a tiny drink charm with a lemon slice. Dulie agreed and said she’d wear it every day. The restaurant definitely knew what it was doing; one sip and we were already planning our next visit.
3. The Pasta That Deserved Its Own Applause
Then came the main event: a massive bowl of truffle cream linguine that smelled so good the people at the next table leaned over to ask what we ordered. Dulie took her first bite and said, “Oh… this is a life moment.” And honestly? Same. The rich flavor, the warmth, the kind of comfort that hits instantly—it all felt like one of those internal food charms you quietly keep. Not the physical kind, but the kind you save in your memory because it made the day feel bigger than just lunch.
4. A Dessert Too Cute to Eat
We ended with a tiramisu shaped like a bear. Yes, a bear. We took at least a hundred pictures before finally digging in. It was soft, sweet, and gone in under three minutes. Dulie teased that we needed a dessert charm collection just for moments like this. And maybe she’s right. Because today wasn’t just about the food—it was about laughing too loudly, forgetting about our phones, hyping each other up, and collecting these tiny, precious moments one plate at a time. Every dish felt like a charm in the story we keep building together—small, joyful, and absolutely ours.
